I remembered to pull out the camera for Isaac, his dinner helper day is on Thursdays. We made meatloaf, tater tots, apple slices, and orange jell-o.
His favorite part of helping was squirting the ketchup on the meatloaf just before baking, in fact I think that's why he picked this meal. He could've done that all night.
He thought the jell-o making process was pretty cool too.

His finished product. Good work Bud, and it all tasted great!

A little guy after my own heart!! I too LOVE to make meatloaf and am pretty proud to say that I am the best one in the family. I get the biggest kick out of adding the mustard, eggs, bread, and mixing everything with my hands. Just thinking about it makes me smile. I love to pour the ketchup/tomato sauce on the top like he does...that's my favorite part!!
Just reminiscing about it right now makes me want to make some for tomorrow as i'm turning the big 2-9....but with time being so crazy, i'm not sure i'll be able to do it until this weekend, but it sounds so nummy to make since it's been a while!
Also--what a GREAT idea also for having your cute cute kids help out in the kitchen! and for taking pictures!! We had to do that growing up where we had to make the meals once a week, from what I remember it wasn't my favorite pasttime, (mainly b/c we had the same thing over and over, like spaghetti or potato casserole) but I think that the way you're doing it is AWESOME!! I can't wait until I can help instill those valuable skills to my future children!
