This is my mom's mom...I loved going to her house when I was a little girl. She would sit and let me chatter and give me spoons of her fresh honey. I have always loved her voice and her laugh, she has such a warm personality and when she laughs it just makes you feel happy to be around her....Back in the summers we used to climb her cherry tree to help her pick cherries, and in the fall we always went to her house because she had the biggest trees in her front yard and she'd let us rake the leaves into piles to jump in for hours....She is still so fun to sit and talk to, I love to hear about her childhood stories and her stories about what life was like for her, once a young momma in my shoes....When you see her she gives the best hugs...I love her so much.
This is my dad's mom....She always made the best chicken dinners for our family when we came over and the best cakes and cookies. She is a soft-spoken lady with the sweetest disposition and always called me her "little Lady" when I was little. She always put out nuts for the squirrels in her trees, they all trusted her and would even eat them out of her hand. I remember thinking she was the bravest lady I'd ever met when one day she was at our house and a big spider was on the wall. All us kids were fighting over who should squish it when Grandma came calmly along and picked it up with her bare fingers(!) and put it outside. We all sat silently staring after her completely awestruck.... She is so gentle and sweet and no one could help but love her.
