2008

A bit of 2008 in pictures.

We started out the year excitedly moving into our new home. .
I was in school through the first half of 2008, plugging away at pre-requisites, but in February I decided the boys needed miniature bunkbeds to fit their toddler size mattresses. So, in between studying for my chemistry exam and throwing together PBJ sandwiches, I drew me up some plans, had the kind men at Home Depot cut wood to match my measurements, then I came home and drilled this thing together and painted it. I love it.

Briah took this picture for me one day when I was cuddling my sweet sleepy Deakerdoo...
And when he's not sleeping...
Levi was being so quiet, so I went to see what he was up to. Couldn't find him at first, then uncovered him sleeping sweetly under Mater with the two pound block of Tillamook cheddar...Lexxi's snow-woman....
Easter... Self explanatory...

Memorial Day BBQ with Mel and her kiddos...

We went on some beautiful scenic drives around the lake...
Waiting for cookies with as much patience as a one-and-a-half year old can muster...
Dabriah enjoying a good book, as she often does....

Many fun birthdays all through the year...
And lots of creativity too...
Family time...
Backyard firepit campfires and marshmallow roasts during the summer...
And more family gatherings... This was a welcome home party when Damon came home from his mission to Australia.
Vacation to the Oregon coast in July

Many days at the park provided lots of good fun... Levi includes in his prayers every day lately that we will please be able to go to the "castle park" and eat cheetoes.
I had lots of help in the kitchen this year with our new weekday dinner helper chart, where each kid has a day of the week when it's their turn.
We wanted to get rid of that binky by the time this little man turned 2.... but after a few nights of all night crying and screaming, I decided maybe he can just have the darn thing 'til he graduates college.

A day of homeschool toward the beginning of the year when we were still getting our supplies and trying to get organized....

Harvest time and pumpkins....
