Sixty Sticky Fingers

This week has been awesome.

Are the men in the white suits coming for me soon? 

My kids caught the nasty stomach virus that's been going around. It has been about 4 years since we had a week this long; that's how long it's been since we last caught a puke bug.

And my poor baby's feverish because he just had his shots. Right now I am so sick of steam cleaning regurgitated fluids out of my carpets and furniture, and so tired of washing loads of laundry I could just blow them all up.

These are the kinds of days where I'd like to know what brilliant genius decided we should have something made of fabric cover nearly every floor in our homes??? And I'd probably like to torture the person who picked nearly white carpets for this particular home.

How about tile clear up to the middle of every wall and large drains in the middle of the floors. Then I could just put on some rubber gloves and one of those cool masks that welders wear and bring in the hose and spray it all down.

I am grateful I am able to be home with my kids caring for them while they're sick.

....or at least I was until Thursday morning when Deacon and Levi simultaneously threw up all over the carpet at the top of the stairs and I was pretty much to the point of tears.

So we are having to result to a strict water and pedialyte diet for a bit. My hungry boys keep looking at me like I'm some kind of criminal.

Happy 4th of July everyone. Eat some BBQ potato chips and a burger with extra pickle for me.
