Day 4:
The Fu:
-Drove to Yaquina Head Lighthouse to sightsee, walked around the lighthouse and hiked up the hill for the view.
-The sun came out for 20 whole minutes!
-Played in the tidepools at Yaquina Head.
-Saw seals in the water right at the tidepools.
-Kids saw tons of fuzzy yellow alien-looking caterpillars. They love caterpillars.
-Drove up to Depoe Bay and window-shopped all the fun little coastal shops there.
-In Depoe Bay, stopped for ice cream cones at Fuddy Duddy Fudge (for sure my favorite part of the day.)
-Back at the yurt (that is such a weird word), the kids played outside, found 4-leaf clovers and explored.
-Played at the campground playground, which was really nice, but no pictures of it unfortunately, because I forgot to put the memory card back in.
-Had yummy hot stew and top ramen for dinner to combat the misty cold evening.
-Kids (especially Deacon) loved playing in the rain that fell on us during and after dinner.

The Not so Fun :
-Yaquina Head Lighthouse was cool to see up close, but it was absolutely gross. I'm talking literally unsanitary. There were flies everywhere (I'm surprised you can't see them in the pictures), and it smelled like something very large had died and was rotting close by. If you look close at the second picture, you can see Isaac plugging his nose, and for anyone who knows Isaac and how sensitive he is to smells, you would truly feel sorry for the kid. I wanted my $7 visiting fee back. The kids enjoyed the tidepools (which were a ways from the lighthouse and much better thankfully).
-It started raining that evening, we got pretty cold and wet.
-Because of the rain, the yurt floor was muddy and I had to go to bed with dirty feet. Have I ever mentioned that I detest dirt with a passion?
-Oh, and even in spite of how undesirable you'd think my dirty feet would be, still something crawled into the bottom of my sleeping bag and ate them, I woke up to itchy bumps all over my toes.

Pretty pictures! I love the lighthouse ones. Too bad it stunk! Also, I love the picture of Aaron kissing the side of your head. Cute!!! One of your girlies must have taken that. I think I might steel that one for our family photos tomorrow ;-)

I meant "steal" not steel. I really know how to spell!
