These were so much fun to take.
Okay, they were mostly so much fun to take.
Baby Jesus was hard to keep still.... He kept trying to escape, kept trying to steal the treasure from the king, and kept trying to eat his manger.
That cute little shepherd boy Deacon absolutely could not in 300 pictures keep that staff still.
Eventually a light bulb went off in my head during the final photo shoot as I was pulling my hair out trying to get Deacon to stop hitting everyone with that staff, and I had Isaac take over shepherd duty, and Deacon became a little wise man. Only then he looked more like a drunk little friar because he wouldn't quit putting that urn to his mouth.... And the black eye didn't help him look like a sober little wise man either. He got that the day before, when he and his cousin were playing and ran right smack into each other's heads. But finally we got some good ones and the kids all got their own Ben & Jerry's for being so cooperative...
Oh that little shepherd boy was cute!

They turned out sooo good!! I love the realistic costumes, and the almost naked "baby Jesus". :) What adorable kids, they did pretty good with their expressions too. Very believable. Sorry Deacon got that black eye! Right before the shoot. Go figure. Good thing hes at an angle, probably on purpose. ;) This would be an amazing Christmas card.
