I Am the Luckiest...

We don't usually do much of anything special for St. Patty's Day... in fact, I don't think we've ever done anything. (Except celebrate my brother's birthday, which is also today, and that is pretty special...)
This year we felt up to it. I didn't do the leprechaun act and tear the house up and leave footprints everywhere because, well, because my kids wouldn't have even noticed, since that's pretty normal to them.
But we did make green food, and rainbow cupcakes and shamrock cookies. And we played outside and enjoyed that fresh fresh beautiful air like I imagine those Irish folk do as they walk along their mountain top meadows on their way to a friendly pub with chipper flute music playing on the wind....

The boys helped me roll cookie dough balls and "snakes" for clover leaves and stems.

And they helped mix colors in the cake batter bowls.

Last night we had a prelude dinner of green macaroni with rainbow cheese, plus green vanilla yogurt and green baby carrots....

Kisses for the Irish...

Today for our official St. Patty's dinner, we had green macaroni and cheese, green hot dogs, and toast with green butter. Then we had those rainbow cupcakes for dessert.

Levi: "Mommy, my two favorite things are green and hot dogs. But I am not eating one of those green hot dogs!"

I am the Luckiest.

Way fun!!! You guys went all out! What fun way to celebrate St. Patty's day. Gives me some good ideas for next year. I love the pics that Briah took of you and Braden! They turned out so good, especially the ones where he's looking at you with such adoration. Good pics. What a fun fun day. :)
