November was so full, and there were many moments when one of the kids would say or do something and I thought, "oh I need to write that down before I forget!"
But you know how life goes, just keeps steamrolling right over you.
So for now I will record the things I can remember off the top of my head, and I'll hope more come to me later...
Levi earned his first book-it pizza award, good job Levi!
It is not always easy to get Levi to read, so truly it was quite a feat for him to read almost every day for a whole month. Sometimes I can't say I blame him. He brings home a "book bag" every day, and he's supposed to read the books in it, then bring them back.
One day I told him to go grab his book bag and read to me as I was cooking dinner in the kitchen.
He went and got it, came back with a funny look on his face, dropped the book on the counter, then crossed his arms and said defiantly, "Sick. I am NOT reading that."
I took one look at what he'd dropped, and couldn't help laughing.
This is a kid who loves superheroes, sword fights, and action figures.
How could I possibly expect him to read "Baby Lamb's first drink"?
And seriously, who picks this stuff?
We got some snow for a week and a half. A decent amount too.
The kids got out and enjoyed it, until the temperatures shot back up to 50 degrees with rain and it all disappeared.
Grandparents came up on the 12th to watch the girls perform in the play, and to visit for a little while. The girls enjoyed visiting with Grandma as she helped them get ready for the show.
The 19th, I took Green Room duty off, and attended the play with the boys. Melissa and Jared came out too from Spokane with Owen and Chase.
The boys all fought over who got to sit by Owen.
The 22nd the girls had showcase for their Stomp Class. Their routines were really cool, I love all that fun beat and rhythm. I only caught video of them on stage, but here's a cute pic of them at the KROC center after the show. Everything was so beautiful all decked out for the holidays.
