The Nutcracker

The girls had a particularly eventful weekend to kick off December.
Saturday they attended the CYT dance party.
They had fun getting all "girlied" up for that, then enjoyed the party with their friends, good food, and good swing dancing.

Preston pulled Lexxi to the dance floor for the swing contest...she was less than excited to be led by his fancy moves.

Then as a surprise to the girls, I bought tickets way back in September to take them to see their first ever ballet performance of the Nutcracker.
December 4th was the big day, and they were so excited when they learned where we were headed!

The Santa Barbara Ballet performed, accompanied by the Spokane Symphony, all at the beautiful Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox.
We actually had really great seats, up in the middle of the orchestra section.

After the ballet, we walked around the theater and shot some awesome pictures.
I love love all the 1920's and early 30's detailing!
It would have been just criminal to turn this building into a parking lot, I'm so grateful for the people who stepped forward and did what it took to save it a few years back.

Love these girls! So fun to take them out.
