Christmas 2011

Christmas Eve was perfect.
-It snowed, the good kind that rolls into a huge snowball in less than 3 minutes, and we got a white Christmas.

-We had a beautiful homemade dinner.

-A few items we made... (shown are cheese stuffed jumbo shrimp wrapped in puff pastry, brie en croute, peanut butter bon-bons, and feta spinach puffs)

-Steven was in town, so he joined us for dinner.

I love this picture of Briah and Deacon, he was her secret santa this year,
and she had just opened the gift he gave her. :)

-The traditional Christmas morning cinnamon rolls, caramel style this year.

-Exploring the contents of their stockings after breakfast...

-Playing throughout the day...

-And a certain someone went and turned 13 on me....  That post to come...

-This year's Grammy jammies...

-Which were lovingly made by this wonderful couple whom we so appreciate.

-John and Karen came into town for a visit from Cali...

-Uncle John brought bottled root beer.

-Game Night with some of my siblings while John and Karen were in town....

-The Osbornlings bonding over the Kinect they got for Christmas. :)

-When Steven was in town, we got together with my siblings for the 1st Annual Christmas Ugly Sweater Party and Lame Gift Exchange.
*Disclaimer : if you have any of these outfits in your wardrobe, don't be offended, we were only after what looked ugly on us personally. I'm sure they look lovely on you.

-Melissa was the lucky recipient of this lame gift.

-And Damon was the lucky recipient of mine. :)
He jumped back when he first opened it when this little guy scurried to the other side of the box.
I picked up this sweet little rat from the pet store on the way to the party. He was totally worth the $3.

-What was really funny is that by the end of the night, every one of the original Frostad siblings present wanted to hold this little guy and was asking to keep him. But unfortunately every non-original Frostad was saying NO. WAY.  What can we say? We grew up with lots of critters. :)

-Truly Fun Christmas this year. :)

I love the idea of the ugly sweater and lame gift exchange too bad my siblings wouldn't do it. Those cinnamon rolls look amazing I have yet to attempt to make any myself maybe next year. Oh and on your prior post what an amazing idea. I may have to look into stuff like that around here for next year for myself and Damian I had a really hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year for some reason.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe you actually bought a rat for a gift!! That is hilarious! Love the pics-it's always fun to see pic of your brothers and sisters:)

I'm curious though...what ended up happening to the little guy?
