Succumbing to the Weather

This is what it looks like outside :

Winter decided to really come after all. I hope it doesn't stick around long.
But for today, I am allowing it to slow me down, feel cozy in the house, and escape all the various life worries that inhabit my brain.

We've had quite a bit come at us in these first 3 weeks of the new year. New experiences and adventures abound. But for today, I'm going to allow all of it to fall to the back of my brain for a while, and concentrate on nothing but holding my baby in his cuddly jammies, playing a much-requested game of "Balderdash" with Deacon, and getting in the kitchen to make soup and bake fresh bread and cookies.
