He has a special knack for finding things that he shouldn't have, like permanent ink markers and carefully hidden packs of Trident gum, and I just know he's hiding a checklist somewhere of what will and won't flush down the toilet, with special marks next to those things that will clog it up. His scream when he doesn't get what he wants.....yes, the kind that can make all the dogs in the neighborhood start howling...
How fortunate I am to have him in my life, reminding me daily how to truly appreciate every second of peace, and ever so dutifully striving to perfect my aptitude of patience...
I get this face from him a lot, (and I always think in the voice of Mr. Incredible's short litte boss) "I'm not happy Mommy...NOT happy."
But I am also so thankful for how he teaches me to love, even when I think my internal supply has been exhausted. His smile lights up my life, his hugs erase my sorrow, and his love for me is so sincere and complete when he chooses to show it. I am truly so thankful to have him in my life.

I love what you wrote about your son. It was very heartfelt and truthful. I think you might be right when it comes to kids teaching us the things we need to learn in this life. Infact, everyone we come in contact with, our parents, siblings, spouses, friends, kids, co-workers. They all help us grow, but the kids sure work the hardest on us. *L*
