Day 2:
The Fun :
-Kids loved all the squirrels & chipmunks in the campground.
-Went to Paulina Lake (beautiful), and rafted for a few hours.
-Kids loved the ducks & little ducklings that swam around them as they played in the water.
-Pretty deer everywhere, and we saw a mama & baby.
-Drove to the top of Paulina Peak for the spectacular view.
-Back at La Pine S.P. we hiked the short distance to the "Big Tree"...
-BBQ'd hamburgers & hotdogs for dinner after our long day playing.
-The kids loved playing with the water faucet at the cabin.
-The cabin was really clean & cute, and fun to stay in.
The Not so Fun :
-The squirrels were cute, but you had to really watch your food or they'd steal it.
-Braden cried for a full 15 minutes when we got out on the lake in the rafts.....(then thankfully he slept soundly shaded under my life vest for the rest of the time. My life vest may not have been able to save my life, but it saved my sanity.)
-The drive up to Paulina Peak was SCARY! Freaky cliffs everywhere and only one lane for most of the drive, which made it even freakier trying to get around people who were driving back down.
-The "Big Tree" wasn't that "big". We got eaten by mosquitos like crazy just walking down to see it.
-We were pretty cranky with plummeting blood sugar levels by the time we headed back to Cabin #4 for dinner. (Levi was kind enough to demonstrate for me with a perfect sour look.)

More fun!! I love how organized you are, even on vacation! =) And Levi did do a good job showing his emotions. =)
