The Fun :
-Headed to the beach at our campground.
-Kids loved playing in the sand, they dug and dug. Even in the rain.
-Headed down to Newport and got 2 giant Hawaiian pizzas (my favorite).
-Sat in the yurt with the heater on and played games (of the video and card varieties) and ate pizza and snacks while the rain came down.
-Played the Scrabble card game, and took turns making up new rules.
-Played Monopoly Deal card game, I'd recommend it over regular Monopoly any day.
-Kids again loved loved playing in that rain, especially Mr. Deekerdoo.
-Got to meet Sally the tiny salamander, found while gathering firewood in the forest behind our yurt.
-Washed laundry the old-fashioned way, and in the rain. It actually really was fun.
-We all got a nice hot shower before bed at the campground showers.
The Not so Fun :
-It was pouring rain on us and windy while we played at the beach. Kids didn't mind at all, but Braden & I didn't like being drenched and sandy.
-Had to rinse the sand off everyone in the water faucet by the beach, soaked already of course, but then it felt good to go get that hot pizza.
-The washing of the laundry in the rain was truly fun, the drying of it by hanging clothesline back and forth across the inside of our yurt was crowded and made for even more humidity. (*Note to self: Never again stay at the coast without a washer & dryer. The beach house last year was more expensive, but worth it!)

I really love that yurt and I want to play that game too. =) I would say that you guys had one adventuresome and fun vacation, I would love to do everything you did. Looking at pics made me wish I could have been there. =) I think your kiddos will forever remember that trip. =)
