Today I finally caught up on the downstairs cleaning, most particularly the dreaded laundry. As I was cleaning I came across the tiara that Bri wore for the Nativity photo shoot, and since I was headed upstairs to put away clothes, I just stuck it on my head, thinking I'd put it away in the toy closet when I got back downstairs.
A few hours later I went out to help Levi get the mail, and only after waving at a few neighbors and watching a few cars pass as Levi crossed the street did I remember I was wearing a crown. I pulled it off and thought, Well....the neighbors probably expect a little craziness from a woman with 6 kids. Maybe next time I'll put on wings and a tutu as well.
Levi wanted me to take this picture. Oh the things you can do with magnets. :)

And hey John, my kids do the blanket worm thing. Levi called me down to watch him and Deacon "worm racing", and I was instantly filled with fond memories of you as a little Johnling.
When Lexxi and I were at Ross the other night I found the fun pillows, plus those adorable little mini ottomans, there were exactly four and I had to take them home with me (plus they were only 12 bucks each and very decent quality. I love Ross.) They are perfect at the foot of each bed, and the boys absolutely love that they have a soft cushion seat on top and then double as a space for them to stash their favorite little things.
Now I'll just keep my eyes open for some curtains to match it all, and maybe an aqua rug.
That room was quite a bit of work. But I put myself through it all because I've learned that when I take the time to turn a room into a place I enjoy being, I'm more likely to keep it clean. And since they love it, I'm hoping that will help influence the way those little boys think too.....

Very cute boys rooms!!! And I love the comment about christmas lights. That so would have been me just yanking them off the tree after a while ;-) I feel your pain.
The boys were sitting her looking at your blog and your boys doing the worm races and Ethan asked if that was him and Briggs. I told him no but it looked like fun if they wanted to try it! We'll see if they do!
I would do the same thing I have been known to leave something on my head that I had forgotten about. I love how the boys room turned out that is awesome. I never worm raced but we did have sleeping bag races down the stairs when we were little it hurt though so I don't recommend it lol. You are so creative...I would have never thought of half the stuff you come up with that's just awesome.
Oh, forgot to mention that the tiara thing had me cracking up! that is hilarious!
