In some ways I am such a girly girl. I love pretty things and candlelight and romantic dinners. I love to wear high heels and makeup and curl my hair.
But I also enjoy some things that surprise some people. Like fishing. And playing soccer and hockey. And riding motorcycles. And building things out of wood....
Recently I realized that though I have 2 girls and 4 boys, somehow the girls ended up with the bigger bedroom. So I decided last weekend it was time to switch. Only problem was, the little bunk bed I built would not fit through the bedroom doorway. So it underwent skill saw surgery and became two little beds, like the one on the left in this picture. I then got more wood and built the other bed on the right, and will be building one more like it this weekend, for a total of 4 little beds for 4 little boys.
Tuesday I built a little toy shelf.

I've got a few nasty gashes in my fingers and toes (because I do too many things barefoot).

And here are a few other pictures from the last week.
My cuddle bug.
These two are buds, I love it.
Me: "Deacon, what are you doing?"
Deacon: "Building a twail so I can get back to the kitchen."

I really like the picture when Braden has the Remote to his ear like a phone. That is just really cute. How did you catch that smile?

I think Braden and Levi are really cute in the pictures. Gotta love 'em.......sometimes. When they aren't grumpy and mean.

That's awesome that you do both the girly things and the "manly" things like playing with power tools to create things very cool. I'm learning to not limit myself ether like when I can slim down a little so I don't exceed the weight limit on my father in law's motorcycle (he is already a big guy) he is going to take me riding with him for the first time ever in my life. I love Deacon's twail very cute and very creative.

Your are amazing, inspiring, talented, and oh so creative! I love the beds and the toy house shelf! Open your own business already, and sell this stuff, its amazing! You could make big bucks! I love your do-it-yourself and make-it-happen attitude. Its so much fun to see what you'll do next. :) I hope I can be just like you.
