It's going to be another beautiful day, and I need to soak up that gorgeous sunshine. My get-up-and-go is totally solar-powered.
The sunshine has put me into spring cleaning mode. This weekend I cleaned out the garage and took down our piece-of-junk swing set (which we bought brand-new 2 years ago but was absolutely falling apart) and took a big load to the dump. It feels good to finally not be backed up on garbage for the first time since Christmas.
This week has been the usual full and busy. We're all feeling a bit sleep-deprived from staying up late a few nights straight. This would be thanks to two very endearing girls in my home who decided to read a somewhat scary story out loud to their brothers at bedtime the other night. So I spent my 2 a.m. awake with tears of the crocodile sorts. I then parked those girls with their pillows and blankets on the floor at the foot of their brothers' beds to "happily" offer any needed comfort and guard against ghosts for the rest of the night. With that and some PLR, the boys snoozed soundly.
Here are some photos from the week:
The kids packed themselves peanut butter sandwiches, a map, and other necessary supplies and spent the next few hours traveling to another country. And somehow, as only children can do, they encountered all sorts of amazing adventures along the way in our absolutely bare back yard.

I don't guess they slept so good on their brothers' floor. Aren't they precious?
Most kids ask for cookies. My daughter asks for pickles. I've started buying her her very own jar of baby dills to keep in the fridge. They go as fast as cookies.

Hey Steph!!
You have the most adorable family & you totally deserve Super Mom Awards!! I hope I am half the mother you have been to your wonderful 6 children.
Robert from Facebook is just someone I knew briefly in my younger days when I wasn't such a good girl and I don't think he is harmful, but I really dont think he has changed for the better.
My pregnancy is going good. I feel constantly bloated but have more energy than the first trimester.
Thank you for offering some clothes! I would love to come check those out and we should definately do a craft night but I would like to get together with just you and Melissa if possible! I would love to catch up and not be too distracted by others.
Hope we can plan a Girls Nite soon & let me know when a good time is to come by and look at girly goodies
Love ya
NICOLE
How do you get your kids to pose for you?!!! You always have such amazing pictures...the kids could be models. :) I love all the pictures of Braden, many girls will lose their hearts to this guy. You've got a good lookin bunch of kids. Its not just because I'm partial too. :) I love that you always have updated pictures of them. Oh, and how creative to travel in your own back yard. I couldn't help but think, of course anythings possible when Lexxi is leading the way. :)
those photos are so precious!
Your baby is SO cute! I LOVED those pics of him! And ya know what, something about him almost resembles my little Eli?! I see it everytime? Makes me miss him while he's sleepin right now. You know what I just realized? Reading your blog & looking at the pics etc, makes me excited to be a stay at home mom. I'm always going away motivated! So, thanks! LOVE your blog...as usual! :)
Thanks Nicole, Missa, Laura, and Stephanie =) You always make my day with your compliments. :)
