March 24th to April 3rd the kids had spring break.
It rained every. single. day.
And hailed.
And snowed on occasion.
The sun peeked out and teased us for about 5 minutes of the whole week.
The indoor weather made for some crazy moments, and we got in each other's "bubbles" a lot, but we also did have some fun. More fun, in fact, than I realized until I pulled out my camera card and loaded its contents.
The girls and I got out for some girl time on a few occasions over the week, and I brought the camera along one of those times, as I've been meaning to do for a long time.
These two are so much fun.
This was great.
Just as she said, "hey look Mom," and was pretending to really want these awesome Big Bird shoes, a cute boy her age turned right into the aisle. The camera clicked just as she saw him and as her mouth froze mid-sentence. We got a good laugh out of it.
So very pretty....
But couldn't you just shrink and squeeze yourself into this again?
Or how about this?....
Of all our shopping time at Ross and Target, the girls spent the most time of course in the snack aisle choosing between Little Debbies cakes and chocolate donuts. The donuts finally won.
All week long Braden couldn't get enough Squiggly Worms.
I must have wound that game 150 times.
The kids re-discovered some of the rainy day toys from the top shelf.
The girls spent a lot of time with friends at our house, at their house, on the trampoline, playing games, or out rollerblading,
...but whenever they came to me bored, I lovingly helped them find more grand ways to have fun.
I made the kitties spend lots of time outside, and Braden kept them company...
The boys built themselves an airplane. I keep telling myself how pointless it is I buy them anything from stores. All they really need is a big pile of free dirt, rocks, and sticks.
The craft room had many visitors over the week too.
Deacon was very proud of his log house. Lexxi helped him hold it together with masking tape.
Levi had a sudden fashion preference for hats and ties all week.
And here's one of the five minutes of sunshine.
Six kids all stuck inside for a week gets pretty crazy...
But I sure do love the moments and memories I get with them.
Now school's back in, for all of us. Back to the busy....

Loved all the photos!!! I have been going nuts with 2 kids inside, I couldn't imagine 6. You go girl!
Sounds like a fun but crazy week. I couldn't imagine being able to hold my sanity together long enough to manage a household with six kids in it. Like Laura said you go girl lol.
The boy was not my age...I hope...;)
But seriously, I dig those Big Bird shoes. ;D
