Back to the 6-Letter Word

Back to school...
Three words to love or hate. Or both.

The girls started August 29th, both doing Connections Academy this year and loving it so far. I love that it frees them up to participate in so many more of the things they really enjoy. They'll be starting CYT back up in a few weeks, Lexxi will be doing a Stomp class this time (fun!), and Bri will be doing her intermediate Voice class. With all that they're excited to be part of the next play, Robin Hood, and are both going to audition this time around. Whether they end up in cast or do crew, they're so looking forward to all the fun. They've decided to give a Rhythmic Gymnastics class a go this fall as well. They're going to be busy busy girls....

I love that Lexxi still loves every stuffed animal she's pretty much ever owned. :)

Isaac and Levi are doing public school, and just started up this week, right after Labor Day. Levi has the same teacher Isaac had last year, (and boy is she in for a lesson on contrast in sibling personalities). They are both doing great so far.

Here they are the day before school started, packing their backpacks.
Deacon and Braden are packing their "backpacks" too.

As part of the transition for them, they moved into their own new room a few weeks ago. We have 5 bedrooms in our house, but until recently have only used 3 as actual bedrooms. Now that we're finally beginning to transition Braden into his own bed, he and Deacon will share a room.
Plus, four growing boys in one room was just chaos and broken things waiting to happen.

They wanted loft beds so bad, just like their sisters. We settled for the junior version, and I got semi-crafty with my glue gun and put curtains on them, so they love that their beds double as forts.
Oh, and see that airplane on Levi's bed? It is, in fact, a stuffed airplane named Mike, which Levi made himself. Cute eh?
I love it Levi.

Farewell summertime....
Welcome back school routine.
