Well it's already the end of September.

The weather has been sooo beautiful all month. It was 92 degrees yesterday, and likely the final day of such temperatures. We took full advantage of it and headed to the lake one more time. It was awesome.

Today was 72 and stormy, and the twenty degree drop was very noticeable. It's getting to be that time of year again. We harvested all of our tomatoes and zucchinis today, thinned out our strawberries, and cleaned up around the roses and lilies. Sigh. The clean-up felt good, but I am feeling some inner rebellion at letting summer go... it happens to me every year.

Do you know I tallied the sunny days this year, beginning June 1st?  I did. As of yesterday there were 60 sunny days, and 90% of them were in August and September. So since statistics show that we average 86 sunny days a year here, at least 2/3 of our sunny days are in summer. No flipping wonder the winters feel so long....
But no, no. Staying positive. There is much to look forward to, weather aside.

The kids are involved in a lot of fun activities this fall, and we're planning more for winter, to keep us all busy/ or busier anyway...

And oh. Here is a sample of Levi's 1st grade work so far...
He says it's a monster chasing a boy with scissors.....
I did warn Miss K. she was in for a big difference in personality after having Isaac in her class last year.
Lol, Levi, I love you.
