Out-Takes

I really do enjoy taking the annual Christmas portrait of my kids.
These days it pretty much goes by the rules : simpler is better, candy is a helpful prop, and smiles aren't needed for cuteness. I actually love the ones most that turn out best showing true personality, though they don't always make it to the final cut.

These three were runners up...

Even though in every single one Briah was giving Deacon bunny ears with her feet.

It's funny because I was so busy calling out, “Eyes on Mommy!”, “You don't have to smile, but at least look at me,” and “Feet down, they're coming out of your brother's head,” and trying to keep my camera oriented and the button clicking, that I didn't even notice all the places Levi was putting his candy cane.

And Braden was evidently trying to copy him much of the time...

Though he also had a few ideas of his own.
Here he is aiming his candy cane at me and saying "bang!"

I can't cooperate any more until I get a new "canny-cay".
(and this was only about 5 minutes into picture-taking, but that is really about all I get anyway.)
